A relaxed atmosphere for this Semprelegno master bedroom: the large sliding made-to-measure wardrobe occupies an entire wall of the bedroom, optimizing spaces. The custom designed furniture and a large mirror increase the volume of the environment in terms of perception.
For this beautiful bedroom, our expert craftsmen also manufactured a stylish and well-organized toilette, with a small table that uses as additional support the fitted chest of drawers, thus creating the perfect space to spend a few moments in total relax.
The space-saving fitted nightstand perfectly matches the elegant style of the custom-build furnishings that have the right energetic touch given by the playful pattern chosen by the Semprelegno interior designers.
A week full of decisive encounters with the major influencers and decision makers of the tourism industry from 12th to 14th October at the Rimini Sun Fair: Semprelegno participates as IVH mainsponsor at the most important events for the hotellerie sector - SIA Guest (the International Hospitality Exhibition) and TTG Encounter the 2017 edition.
During this unique event reserved exclusively for the Italian manufacturing, furniture and luxury furnishings for the hotel contract division, the company seizes the networking opportunities to establish new relationships and define different strategies
Semprelegno special thanks: we have discovered the new trends and innovations that unceasingly change the concept of hospitality, we met with the best professionals and found new ideas for the future!
Optimizing spaces also for bedrooms: a custom-made suspended bed with a fitted cabinet and a hidden comprarment underneath. On top of the bed, two dark gray shiny lacquered functional "nightstands" were placed in order to always have at hand your favorite books.
A irregularly-shaped stair with integrated containers was also designed and executed to access the bed. The fitted wardrobe has an elegant opaque white finish emphasized by the insertion of contrasting handles. Inside, inserted LEDs spread delicate light rays on the floor whenever the furniture is opened.
Moreover, Semprelegno created a small study station in order to meet the needs of the future student: a hanging desk top with small bespoke drawers where to store the laptop and other necessary items and two tailored cabinets to give more dynamism to the overall look of the room.
The first prize delivered yesterday, September 13th to Michael Albasini, the first placed on the 71st edition of the Agostoni international cycling race, represents the apogee of the encounter between the unique corporate culture typical of the Brianza territory and authentic Made in Italy design recognized worldwide. The aim of the project: highlighting the intrinsic vocation of Lissone in the design milieu.
Much more than a first prize: the design trophy signed Martinelli Venice Studio and exclusively created for the Coppa Agostoni 2017 takes on new meanings, becoming in fact the expression of not only the artisans’ skillful craftsmanship but also the innovative know-how of Semprelegno.
Follow the link and find out how the company’s craftsmen have produced this wonderful project.
Semprelegno manufactures for the seventy-first edition of the historic cycling race a truly unique trophy. Designed by Vittorio Venezia, the young Italian designer found inspiration starting from the idea that elements such as behavior and customs give a sense of community attachment, then increasing the degree of complexity, achieves a perfect representation of the tradition and quality craftsmanship typical of Brianza.
This Tuesday, September 5th, the Lombardy region, under the patronage of President Roberto Maroni and Sports Councilor Antonio Rossi, has become once again the perfect setting for the introduction of this traditional event. During the press conference for the presentation of the design cup especially created for the renowned bicycle race Coppa Agostoni 2017 – Tour of Brianza, the company’s CEO Cristina Reccagni states: "we are always thrilled to be involved in projects that have as main goal the enhancement of our territory".
Semprelegno designs this enormous open space with a large living area separated from the dining room and kitchen by four tinted glass sliding doors. At the entrance, a little zen garden frames the view while the suspended columns present in all the setting have an elegant dark grey finish and every time they are opened the LED lights inserted within send rays of light on the floor.
The main feature of this design home is the made-to-measure piece of furniture that divides the living room from the dining area. The fitted graphite grey base with a custom-made magazine support houses all multimedia devices. Above, inside a bespoke white lacquered structure hooked to the ceiling, the TV can turn on itself up to 180° to be easily seen from both the sofa area and the dining area, whereas on the opposite side we created a beautiful digital printing.
For the contemporary kitchen the Semprelegno experts choose a Corian® top of great quality while in the dining room, the table has a smoky-colored crystal base and glossy grey top. Check out all details related to this entirely custom-made project by clicking on the link.
Seventy-eight square meters on two levels: Semprelegno designs and furnishes the flat entirely with custom-made design furniture.
The entrance is perfectly organized due to a bespoke closet finished with clear tones that contrast with the strong tones of blue balen, light grey and dark grey selected for the wall covering. A small piece of furniture in shabby chic style frames the view of the living room adding a certain romantic note to the setting.
Maximizing spaces: in the wide hallway, a fitted double-sided cupboard divides the entryway from the large living area while in the living room, a very useful sofa can turn into a comfortable bed in case the guests decide to stay overnight. In addition, an ethnic chest in solid Elm wood delimits the sitting area from the dining area. The insertion of decorative elements in all shades of red put an emphasis on the white and grey tones that tend to dominate the entire environment.

Entirely designed and furnished by Semprelegno IN THE MOOD FOR WINE is a wine bar where one can enjoy great Italian wines. This amazing bar recounts our territory with a fine selection of wines in a distinctive Made in Brianza setting for a complete sensorial experience.
Refined rustic wood with a vintage reinterpretation for the tailor-made bar counter and auburn design stools with regenerated cork seats. Presenting a selection of fine wines needs a special exhibition stand like the one our joinery manufactured with an eclectic combination of shapes and materials, finishes and colors (red and graphite mdf, glass and aged wood).
Design, functionality and durability: thin shelves to display wine bottles and spices fixed within a rustic frame with a slate background whereas for the appetizers’ table the Semprelegno team of experts has chosen Bouschon, the original stools inspired by the traditional champagne cork and its classic muselet.
For a great enthusiastic reader who owns a remarkable collection of books, the primary requirement in terms of interior design is to have a large library. After studying the whole environment, Semprelegno has identified the best location to install the structure and created a fitted "bridge" bookcase that covers the entire living-room wall.
The shelves, the layout… everything was meticulously designed according to the heights of the books and various objects that were to be positioned consequently. The TV and all Wi-Fi devices (with an invisible cable passage) have also been placed inside the custom-made design bookcase.
The large structure was made using a particular aged elm wood whereas some of the dividers have a grey taupe lacquered finish for a more dynamic touch. Click on the link below to view all the details about this entirely Made in Brianza project.

The idea of creating works of art as first prizes for the Coppa Agostoni, comes from the desire to promote the image of the historic and prestigious cycling race in Brianza and also enhance the natural beauties of this territory permeated with artistic culture and traditional craftsmanship.
In the year of Expo there is no better setting than the Belvedere of the Royal Villa in Monza, home to a permanent collection of important works (Triennale Design Museum), to present a wonderful initiative that combines the art of design know-how.
During the press conference held June 3, 2015 at the Caimi Hall in the presence of the municipal authorities of Monza and Lissone, as well as the representatives of the Lombardy Region, the trophies (made by three notorious Italian designers) were presented.
The first prize, designed by the Architect and Designer Alessandro Marelli, was manufactured in the company's laboratory.
The Fuorisalone events return this year in the same period as the Milan Design Week (April 12 to April 17, 2016). At the Brianza design edition, the participation of both the cities of Monza and Lissone was a complete success.
Monza dedicated itself at discovering “A Place at the Table”, the exposition especially created for the World Expo 2015 by the talented designers and the experienced artisans of our territory. Semprelegno participated at this “mise en place” with Luxury Wood for Food, a design item created by Cristina Reccagni, the company’s Creative Director.
At the same time in Lissone, the renowned City of Design Furniture, was held the first exhibition of the custom-made collection “Lissone è Mobile”. The Semprelegno craftsmen presented at the Showroom Dassi Design the versatile bookcase Legno al Cubo, exclusively designed by Architect Miranda Morico for the 2016 Design Week.
Brianza Design is a project that is strongly connected to the concept of territory and craftsmanship preservation within Brianza. Two realities are brought together: BRIANZA – a territory deeply characterized by the knowledge and experience of working wood and DESIGN – designing projects with the purpose of uniting aesthetics and functionality.
After the success of the first edition of the Brianza Design Contest, on December 15th 2015 took place the official presentation of the second edition of the Contest. The Creative Director Cristina Reccagni represented Semprelegno at the event. The innovative joinery has already selected the project LegnoalCubo, a particular design library designed by Architect Miranda Morico.
APA Confartigianato Lissone promotes the local craftsmanship as part of the wider "Expo RT" project, facilitating the encounter between American and Russian operators in the fields of design, fitted furniture and custom-made furnishings with the Brianza workshops.
The association, during the entire period of Expo Milan, puts face to face the artisan laboratories (in this case Semprelegno) with designers and architects, contract, real estate developers and showroom representatives coming from Russia and the United States.
The meeting held July 21, 2015 (anticipating the summer break) represents a real opportunity for the local businesses to convey over borders the tradition, the experience and the Made in Italy excellence.
Crafts Week is at its fifth edition. Saturday June 20, 2015, at the Terragni Palace in Lissone, took place the opening ceremony during which the President of APA Confartigianato, Giovanni Mantegazza, awarded Semprelegno with a recognition for the resourcefulness and dynamism that characterizes the company.
Furthermore, Thursday June 25, 2015, another important event will be held at the Terragni Palace: the conference "Craftsmen between the challenges of today and tomorrow" aimed at presenting the issues that local artisans must face every day in their struggle to preserve tradition.
The participation of Piero Bassetti has proved exceptional. His speech transmitted confidence: the Made in Brianza craftsmanship and the art that flows from this territory makes the audience sensitive to beauty.
This is also the case of one of the latest made-to-measure works carried out by the woodworking artisans of Semprelegno. A wonderful kitchen “carved in stone” … the fitted design furniture that bears the Made in Italy trademark was completely manufactured inside our laboratory of carpentry and although the white is present the wall covering wards off the aseptic effect.
To find inspiration for your home check out our bespoke solutions in this article dedicated to kitchens that turn their backs to the usual blank walls.
Avoiding mistakes when it comes to furnishing your home or redecorating - now you can. You must not get caught by enthusiasm: we say YES to CREATIVITY but keep in mind you shouldn’t just let go!
First thing: PLAN! Remember to calculate the exact size and proportions of the furniture because it must be balanced in order to enhance the space. An obstructed environment is visually unpleasant, this not to mention the impact on illumination, another important aspect you have to consider.
To avoid the chaos it would be advisable to choose for your interiors a UNIQUE but ONE STYLE ONLY. To make everything look harmonious the selection of the right colour palette is decisive. The ideal? Pick just a few complementary ones – this will allow you to introduce some new spots of colors, perfect to bring out some piece of design furniture. Not to be forgotten: BALANCE is the key word to get a perfect result.
Of course, last but not least, you can TURN TO a team of EXPERTS: the Semprelegno team will support you in this adventure. No doubt, our qualified equipe will skillfully advise you about the most appropriate choices for your bespoke furniture consequently personalizing the environments according to your own taste.
Semprelegno participates in the 70th Edition of the Coppa Agostoni with "Essence", the trophy designed by the Italian architect Enrico Azzimonti that is to be delivered on the 15th of September, 2016.
The company's craftsmen welcome once more the initiative that aims at a further development of the area promoted by the authorities of Lissone. The project involves the creation of design awards by renowned designers in collaboration with the enterprises of the local territory. The cups are to be handed over to the first three classified in this traditional cycling competition.
Semprelegno produces for this occasion a trophy inspired by the territory of Brianza, a trophy that represents the quality and tradition of the local craftsmanship deeply interrelated to one of the events that has become part of the city's identity. "Essence" comes to life thanks to the synergistic collaboration between artisans and designer and it encloses the encounter between the globally recognized Italian design and the art of know-how typical of this area.
“Mysterious Article” is the precious design object created by the Semprelegno craftmen for one of the most anticipated literary events of the year: “Serata in Giallo” hosted within our laboratory of carpentry in Lissone in occasion of the eighth edition of the Book Festival Libritudine 2016.
Designed by the Semprelegno Creative Director Cristina Reccagni together with the company’s staff of designers, with the aim of involving the audience during this event by uncovering the mystery hidden inside, the prized object was created exclusively for this unusual encounter between the worlds of literature and arts & crafts.
The peculiar chest of drawers was created using seven different essences of precious wood (Mahogany, Zebrawood, Teak, American and European Walnut, Cedar Wood and Oak) with four wooden tops which, when needed, can be opened transforming the small cabinet in a table accordingly.
The particularity of this unique objet d’art is the presence of a small hidden compartment within it that enables the lodging inside, in perfect safety, of some valuable articles or of extreme significance. “Mysterious Article” will be exhibited at the Arengario in Monza from Saturday 2 to Sunday 9 April especially for the Fuorisalone 2017.
During the Milan Design Week 2016, the Italian newspaper “Il Giorno” dedicated within its Design Furniture Showcase section, the article "Legno al Cubo – the Decor Idea" to the design bookcase especially created for the occasion by the architect Miranda Morico in collaboration with Semprelegno.
The idea behind this design project is simple: a minimalistic approach that bends to the needs and the taste of the moment. Versatility and customization are the keywords that define "Legno al Cubo”, all possible thanks to its geometrical elements and the wide range of materials and finishes that allow creating endless compositions. This leads to countless possibilities of configuration with the opportunity of totally modifying the original choice or continuing to develop its structure.
Therefore, Semprelegno brings to life the project of Miranda Morico, transforming it into the prototype exhibited during the Fuorisalone event at the Dassi Design Showroom. The peculiarity of this first example created by our master craftsmen under the direction of Cristina Reccagni, Creative Director of the company, is given by the unique veneers chosen to create the design bookcase: antique rustic oak coming from plantations with obligation of reforestation in Austria.
The Selective Affinities project offers a new interpretation to core aspects such as cultivating, cooking and eating. However, at the same time, it suggests new ways of understanding development focusing on the growth opportunities of Brianza’s business and artisanal realities.
The final exposition reuniting all the works, marks the conclusion of the entire project that saw once more collaborating successfully the Triennale Design Museum in Milan with the Contemporary Arts Museum of Lissone. The design projects narrate the research and the working process executed by young talented designers and the master artisans of Brianza.
The presentation of the book dedicated to The Selective Affinities will be held on October 31st 2015 at MAC Lissone. Semprelegno, thus anticipating the event, presents the video on the production process of the design projects Lia, Allevamento Domestico e Storia di un Fico on the company’s You Tube Channel.
The art of craftsmanship encounters the world of literature. Once again the mutual support between public institutions and private companies has produced wonderful results, enhancing the sense of belonging to the local community. Semprelegno joined the initiative of the representatives of Lissone for the eighth edition of the “Libritudine” book festival by hosting within the firm’s workshop one of the most anticipated literary events.
Therefore, Semprelegno opens the doors of its laboratory to host the presentation of the books “Se un cadavere chiede di te” by Sara Magnoli and “L’ultimo confidente” by Luca Scarpetta, a presentation skillfully conducted by Roberta Lucato. After the literary entertainment followed an interactive moment designed to engage the audience supposed to uncover the mystery hidden within a precious piece of furniture created by Semprelegno exclusively for the occasion.
“Serata in Giallo” ended with an interesting guided tour: the Head of Production Stefano Cesana unveiled “the secrets of the artisan trade” and presented the innovative technologies applied in the Semprelegno “dream factory”.
Semprelegno presents Luxury Wood for Food: a wooden plate made by using a block of solid zebrawood inherited from our ancestors. The elongated ends (similar to wings) invite one to experience the flavors and traditions of Brianza.
The ultimate purpose is to acknowldge the passion and the loving attention that the artisans in the area of Monza dedicate every day to their craft., making the Made in Italy worthy of respect and recognition worldwide.
The creation designed by the company's Creative Director, Cristina Reccagni, is part of this project that lasts six months (the entire period of EXPO 2015) and is going to be exhibited in some of the most prestigious locations in Brianza, including the Royal Villa of Monza, the Borromeo Palace of Cesano Maderno, Villa Brivio in Nova Milanese and Villa Tittoni in Desio.
Semprelegno attended the B2B Meetings held with the participation of a certain number of potential future partners operating in the furniture sector and coming from Poland, Lithuania and Bulgaria. The encounter (part of the larger project Expo North Milan) took place on October 22nd 2015 at the Ghirlanda Villa in Cinisello Balsamo.
Given the current peculiarities of the Italian market and the constant growth registered in relation to the Made in Italy demand within the above countries, the company has positively considered the opportunity of exporting the high-quality products created inside its innovative artisan workshop situated in the heart of Brianza.
“DI donne & friends” project proposes as main theme for the Fuorisalone 2016 the “femininity” narrated through the design items created by the fantasy of five great Italian designers and the ability of the craftswomen of the Donne Impresa Movement.
The collective exhibition will be presented for the first time in Milan at the Fabbrica del Vapore site (Palazzina Liberty). The inaugural event will talke place at 6 P.M on April 12th, 2016.
The Semprelegno artisans, under the direct supervision of the Creative Director Cristina Reccagni, manufacture“Tower”: the project designed by the renowned designer Daniela Puppa. “Tower” is a jewelry box composed by a series of trays created using different types of precious wood (American Walnut, Zebrawood, Oak) hand-finished with linseed oil.
The craftsmen of the Semprelegno carpentry are presenting the design prototypes and the luxury products that they manufacture on a daily basis within the company’s workshop located in Lissone, renowned for being the City of Design Furniture.
"La Pialla" Showroom reunites history, tradition and modernity with the purpose of enabling the diffusion of the artisanal knowledge typical of Brianza - an initiative made possible by Architect Luca Spinelli. Semprelegno presents the design items “Story of a Fig” by Zanellato/Bortotto and “Allevamento Domestico” especially created by the Italian designer Francesco Faccin for the “Le Affinità Selettive" project, also presented at Triennale Design Museum in Milan.
Semprelegno takes part in the making of the demonstrative format of a design eco-friendly automated hotel room created in accordance with the principles of "Missione Architetto", a system that operates nationally and internationally, especially designed to disseminate and develop Virtuous Architecture.
The project developed together with the Italian architect Fabio Vicamini aims to increase the profitability of an entire building by devoting part of the house (in this case an apartment of 130 square metres in Desio, Piazza Conciliazione 9) to hotel rooms.
The renovation was performed on an area of twenty square meters (equivalent to eighty square meters), to consider as typical layout for a hotel room that, however, preserves very peculiar characteristics, of greater quality and style. Within this environment not only a spacious bedroom but also a wonderful spa with a double air massage bathtub and an emotional shower, which again could turn into a large kitchen with an integrated dining area to enjoy in the company of your friends.
In the short-term, the ProAactive House enclosing within its walls the principles of home automation, sustainability, design and customization will be opening.
The awards ceremony for the first edition of the literary prize Adriana Martino in remembrance of her works and the peculiarities in the topics addressed was held last Saturday, 25 February 2017, at 4 PM in the City of Monza.

Our master artisans are proud to have been able to make the prizes for this first edition: the names were engraved on a beautiful solid oak wood panel with the aid of a CNC machine and meticulously hand polished with linseed oil and beeswax.
Extra Salon 2016 – past, present and future
For the ten-day exhibition (from April 20 to April 30, 2016), the chosen theme is the evolution of furniture over time with the aim of giving to the public the opportunity of experiencing the art of designing and producing high-quality furniture, typical of the Brianza territory.
The design exhibition is entirely organized by the students of the Amedeo Modigliani College with reference to both graphics and set-up. Thus, the Gallery of the Giussano Mall becomes a place to display the products and accessories manufactured by the local artisans with the purpose of highlighting the changes in terms of materials, design and production process. On this occasion, the Semprelegno craftsmen present Legno al Cubo by the Italian architect Miranda Morico and Lia designed by Tania da Cruz.
During these ten days of exhibition, evening meetings will be held with entrepreneurs, designers and planners who will talk about their own way of doing business.
Coppa Agostoni, part of the Lombardy Region Triptych, is an important fragment of the historical heritage of Brianza. The seventieth appointment of this high-level competitive cycling race goes beyond its simple sporty appearance, continuing to intertwine with the history and traditions of our territory. For the second time this year, Semprelegno becomes part of all this by creating the trophy designed by the Italian Architect and Designer Enrico Azzimonti, a project that not only reinterprets the concept of the competition but enhances the identity of the local territory deeply linked to themes such as furniture and design.
"Essence" is made with some of the materials daily used within the joinery’s workshop: antique Slavonian Oak veneer (tribute to the entrepreneurship that characterizes the City of Lissone) with a blue MDF heart (expression of the Semprelegno expertise and of the interpretative capacities of Cristina Reccagni and her coworkers).
The official presentation of the 70th Edition of the "Coppa Agostoni " will take place on the 21st of July, 2016 at the Terragni Palace in Lissone. The Italian champion Giacomo Nizzolo will be attending the event.

Semprelegno displays the versatile bookcase CUBE Wood designed by Architect Miranda Morico and the precious item TOWER signed Designer Daniela Puppa. Furthermore, the company presents the WEDDING WOOD COLLECTION, created particularly for the occasion by the Design Artist Cristina Reccagni.
Design as main character: the exposition of the “The Selective Affinities – Special Expo Edition 2015” prototypes, created by the Semprelegno innovative laboratory of carpentry in collaboration with a number of renowned designers, at the Calvi Villa in Cantù in occasion of the fourth edition of the Wood Festival has ended. The peculiar design items “Lia”, “Allevamento Domestico” e “Storia di un Fico” have finally returned to the “La Pialla” showroom in Lissone.
The aim is bringing together admirers of arts and crafts interested in deepening their knowledge on the artisan savoir faire and discovering the magic of wood right here in Brianza, the leading area in processing this material. Consequently, the Semprelegno craftsmen displayed the design prototypes that put man and nature at the centre of the feeding process, created within the company’s workshop.
Semprelegno decided to take part in the initiative promoted by the local authorities of the City of Cantù that took place in the period September 24 to October 9, 2016. Due to this collaboration within the Brianza Experience project, it is for the first time that in the town of Cantù a significant part of the prestigious Lissone Design Award was presented.
Last Sunday, 13th December 2015, inside the wonderful Antona Traversi Villa in Meda, Semprelegno celebrated along with a number of local companies the seventeenth anniversary of APA Confartigianato Milan Monza – Brianza.
During the event, a certain number of firms were rewarded for literally writing the history of Confartigianato. Semprelegno produced the awards within its artisan laboratory of carpentry in Lissone.
The exclusivist packaging is made entirely of Canaletto Walnut wood (folder cut) hand finished with linen oil and beeswax, laser personalized with the name of the authority to which it was given and the Confartigianato 70 logo.
The eighth edition of the Book Festival in Lissone maintains its key feature: the literary meetings will be distributed throughout the territory, extending far beyond the network of institutional spaces and cultural associations to involve some of the local companies.
Lissone is "a City that Reads" – this is the motto of the event chosen by the organizing committee. Semprelegno is actively involved in the cultural life of the community and on this special occasion is lending its spaces to host one of the most anticipated literary events thus bringing its own contribute to the rediscovery of reading.
The company will host “Serata in Giallo” within the laboratory’s headquarters in Via San Martino, 79 on Thursday, 6 October 2016. The evening will start with the presentation of two books that carry the signatures of the well-known writers Luca Scarpetta ("L’ultimo confidente") and Sara Magnoli ("Se un cadavere chiede di te). In addition, the company has organized a design exhibition with some of the most valuable objet d’art made by the Semprelegno craftsmen in collaboration with renowned Italian designers.
The design projects were lately displayed at the Triennale Design Museum in Milan and the Museum of Contemporary Arts in Lissone, at the Fabbrica del Vapore and the Fuorisalone 2016 as well as and in some of the most prestigious locations of Brianza.
Semprelegno on the latest edition of Design Diffusion News dedicated to the Milan Design Week (June 2016), the most cutting-edge international magazine on industrial design, industrial product design and interior design, in an editorial by Giulia Bruni. The article entitled “Technology challenges tradition” focuses on the modern craftsman professional figure: the artisan, always in search of perfection through know-how is now future-oriented, seeking to apply the most innovative production technologies.
“Craftsmen must have an in-depth knowledge and good professional skills when it comes to digital technologies. The evolution of artisan business depends on the cultural level and the possibility to approach high technologies, never abandoning personal commitment and skills, his/her know-how, local traditions and the years of experience” says Cristina Reccagni, Creative Director of Semprelegno Lissone.
We are pleased to inform you that the Council of the Chamber of Commerce of Monza and Brianza, by Resolution No. 43/2017, has assigned the "Made in Brianza" label to Semprelegno.
The excellences of the territory are protected and enhanced by the “Made in Brianza” quality trademark, issued as a guarantee of security and reliability for those products bearing the mark.
The prestigious label certifies the quality of our production, the strong bond Semprelegno has with the territory in which it operates, the creativity and innovation that characterize the products manufactured by the company and its environmental sustainability.
The collaboration of Semprelegno with the Architect Miranda Morico gave life to a complex structure for the separation of two different functional areas (the living room and the kitchen) through a flexible system that allows that, at the same time, to maintain a very direct connection between them.
This tailored library was set in a beautiful apartment in the center of Milan. Replacing the wall, a double sliding door is hidden inside the installation: when open, it disappears completely leaving a wide passage between the two divided environments.
An entire section "Choosing Style" in the Italian Cose di Casa magazine and the cover of the first edition (January 2015) was dedicated to this particular project.
Through our involvement, we wanted to give a strong signal of the importance that key principles such as solidarity, the value of people and the importance of family inspire our work. The craftsmen of Semprelegno are especially proud to be part of this truly important project. APA Confartigianato Milan Monza and Brianza in collaboration with Caritas Ambrosiana and the Milan Diocese restructures and furnishes four apartments donated to families in need during the visit of the Holy Father that ended on 25 March 2017 in Monza.Go to link

"Eating” is the third phase of the project The Selective Affinities started by the local authorities of Lissone to celebrate the encounter between the art and tradition of artisanship and the worldwide recognized Italian design. However, the entire focus moves around a theme that is much more important: Feeding the Planet.
The press conference inaugurating the exhibition is to be hosted at the Triennale Design Museum in Milan, on the 10th of September 2015 at 18:30. Semprelegno, as producer of the design project conceived by designers Giorgia Zanellato and Daniele Bortotto, will of course be attending the event.
The philosophy behind the creation of this work of art: the way we interpret food nowadays but also the simple act of Eating have changed radically compared to the past, losing almost completely their social peculiarity. Story of a Fig restores value to this important daily moment by emphasizing all those social, religious, political and communicative aspects tied to the ritual of "Eating".
Luxury Wood for Food, a Cristina Reccagni creation, will be exhibited at the Royal Villa in Monza starting September 19th, 2015. The concept inspiring her work is enhancing a new approach to food culture, perfectly in line with the project "A Place at the Table" initiated by Brianza Expo for Design with the purpose of promoting the union between design and craftsmanship.
This luxurious plate, entirely designed and produced within the innovative laboratory of Semprelegno in Lissone, is available to the public until October 10th at the Royal Villa, also hosting the Permanent Italian Design Collection.

Once again ”MyRandom”, the tailored bookcase designed by the Italian architect Miranda Morico and created within the Semprelegno’s carpentry workshop, is on the cover of a renowned Interior Design and Home Decor magazine: Vero Casa, September 2016. The entire attention of this interesting “Communicating Spaces” editorial on the elegant and functional division of living areas, as designed to unite under the banner of practicality two beautiful apartments in Milan, centers on the this custom-made design bookshelf.
The impressive bookcase that covers the entire wall and goes up to the ceiling separates two distinct settings (the living room and the dining area). Inside the structure there is a passageway created with two sliding panels that allow the two adjacent spaces to remain connected while at the same time divided.
The minimum thickness used to manufacture “MyRandom” and the complete absence of joints tends to “minimize” its proportions making it more dynamic thus generating less impact on the surrounding environment and accurately completing the contemporary style of the interiors.
Design Competition Sharing, promoted by the Lombardy Region, is a project designed to enhance the talent and brilliant ideas of young emerging designers through the creation of a series of innovative prototypes in collaboration with the best artisan companies in the Brianza area.
Characterized by an accentuated "design-oriented" vision, Semprelegno selects three of the unique projects admitted to the matching phase, considered to be in line with the company’s production capacity and philosophy. The design projects belong to two major categories that gather under the banner of the same main theme that is sharing: LIVING (reinforcing the concept of in-house comfort and happiness) and KIDS (introducing a new type of home-based child-friendly environment).
Once more Semprelegno arrives at the Contamporary Arts Museum in Lissone after the exhibition at the Triennale Design Museum in Milan. Story of a Fig is the design project imagined by Giorgia Zanellato e Daniele Bortotto, entirely produced within the company's innovative workshop.
"By the means of this project, we aim to design a real timeline marked by events related to food and to our diet: foods that have led to historical events leading to a radical change in how we eat and still we are at the table" say the designers Zanellato and Bortotto, authors of Story of a Fig.
A house doesn't necessarily have to be of great dimensions to be perfect. All you need is a change of perception: by simply optimizing the available space one can avoid that an already small structure became even smaller. In this case, choosing a minimalist style is the right one.
The volumes of a 50 square meters house were emphasised by creating a modern atmosphere and joining the dining area to the living room in order to have more space available. The functional aspect is the key element. Clearly, tailored furnishings solve many problems and help creating the illusion of an open space, definitely larger than it actually is.
The color palette employed for this custom-made project is extremely versatile: the grays and whites are can be easily matched to colors of any kind, while the black is perfect to create areas of contrast.
Personality and elegance are the core features that characterize the interiors designed and manufactured by Semprelegno.

Four of the talented designers participating at the event turned to Semprelegno to elaborate their creations. It is Cristina Reccagni, Creative Director of the company, to coordinate the entire production process.

Nowadays, the same two institutions start a new journey together under the vigilant supervision of Professor Aldo Colonetti: The Selective Affinities – Lissone Design Award – Expo 2015 Special Edition. Semprelegno has collaborated with the designers Tania da Cruz, Francesco Faccin and Giorgia Zanellato / Daniele Bortotto to create Lia, Allevamento Domestico e Storia di un Fico – the works are accurately narrated in the catalogue that celebrates this six months design exhibition.

Christmas was getting nearer and everyone within the Semprelegno joinery started wondering what to invent this year in order to make a present to the best customers and friends. However, it had to be something more than an ordinary gift; it had to be something special, something that could narrate our peculiar reality and our artisan story.
Therefore, in order to celebrate Christmas together, our craftsmen created IL PIANETTONE. Executed using five axis numerical controlled machinery and hand finished with citrus perfumed antibacterial sesame oil, IL PIANETTONE will give to your Christmas tables a perfect Italian design look.

The letter "C" stands for Cristina, Creativity, Cuore. Within it Shapes, Materials and Colours symbolize the soul of the artist that merges imagination and technique. Everything explodes contaminating the social and professional role. Meanwhile, the space that surrounds this reality identifies itself with the concrete block. Chain and padlock suggest that all the passion, the art form that defines one as unique, is limited by circumstances and by the rules of modern business life.
